The Refresh Meta Tag is used to refresh a browser from the web page to another web page in a defined amount of time. The meta tag should not be used on a web page that is submitted to a search engine. This is viewed by many search engines as a way that Black Hat SEOs have tried spamming the search engines to try and get higher rankings.
